Jacques Scheuten is a real entrepreneur. In 1966 he was the first employee in his father’s company. From the outset he had a vision of company growth based on the principle of service first, profit afterwards. The 1973 oil crisis led to increased use of insulation. Scheuten is one of the earliest manufacturers of insulating glass. The investment in its own float glass factory in 2001 was an important step in the company’s expansion. Scheuten controls the entire process from sand to sale. The company is now one of Europe’s largest independent glass manufacturers.
Vision
Jacques Scheuten is a visionary. As far back as the 1970s he could see the possibilities offered by glass and solar energy. Since then the company has invested substantially in research & development. Scheuten Solar is fast becoming a leading developer and manufacturer of solar modules and solar energy systems. The company’s reaction to the firm opportunities for growth is reflected in its ambition to achieve worldwide status.
